| Greetings!
I hope your
fall is off to a great
start! I have seen a
lot of new and returning
faces at Team Fit over
the last week with the
start of our Fall 2010
launching. It's always
great to see the
passion, excitement, and
energy of so many people
ready to make positive
change. I love that
attitude!
WE HAVE BIG
NEWS! When I started
Team Fit in 2006, my
intent was to make
an IMPACT on people from
all walks of life; from
the young and old,
male and
female, and within all
fitness levels. The
vision was to transform
people's bodies, minds
and emotions in a
positive way. I
call this PMA ~
positive, mental
attitude.
As I always
mention, fitness starts
from within. You have
to start with how you
think of yourself on the
inside in order to
transform your
outside. I am pleased
to announce that we
recently receive an
amazing opportunity to
reach out to another
district in the Metro
Detroit Area. STAC
(Shelby Township
Athletic Club)
conveniently located at
23 Mile and Schoenherr
Road will be another
"home base" for Team
Fit. Our fantastic
Zumba program
department, led by
Jennifer Paczas, will
begin in less than 2
weeks at this facility
and will be offering
FREE PROGRAMS the week
of October 4th.
Chantell, Christy, Jenn
and Lindsay will be
hosting classes
(morning, evening and
weekend) that fit into
your busy day. Full
Zumba schedules and
discount pricing are now
posted on the website
and can be viewed by clicking
here.
TF will be building
program offerings at
STAC in the near future
and the team is very
excited to be part of
this beautiful gym.
I am also very
excited about other
memorable events that
are coming up within the
next few months! As for
now, I have to bite
my tongue until the deal
is "signed, sealed and
delivered".
I want to
thank my entire team of
trainers for getting TF
where it is today and I
look forward to the
future of how we can
change the world one by
one; by the attitude we
bring to them everyday!
The TF Times
has a ton of great
information this
month--check it out as
well as get involved
with our programs. My
featured article this
month is entitled,
"Are You Listening?".
Take the few minutes to
not only read, but to
take engage in this
action. Make an
"IMPACT" on someone's
life TODAY! I look
forward to connecting
with you real soon.
Happy Training!

Are You
Listening?
I
recently read a quote
that was just
awesome. It said, "To
the world you may be
just one person...but
to one person you may
be the world." How
powerful!
What
I really like about
this is how each of us
everyday has the
opportunity to be a
"difference maker."
Stay present with the
person in front of you
or on the other end of
the phone. We're all
busy and our minds are
always racing.
Sometimes it takes a
conscious effort to be
present with friends,
colleagues,
co-workers, family
members, and
strangers. But it's
always worth it. Stop
thinking about your
next words or where
you need to be. Start
listening... Mind,
body and heart.
As
you strive to balance
all that you do in a
day (work, exercise,
family obligations,
social affairs,
volunteerism, etc.),
remember that the
person in front of
your nose may be the
one person who really
needs YOU right now.
Stay present, listen,
and encourage!

Hi
Zumba Peeps!
There are
some exciting things
going on this month...
I would
like to first send a
warm ZUMBA welcome
to our newest
certified
instructors, Lindsay
and Chantell. As
many of you know,
both gals already
host an array of
classes for TF such
as cycling, cardio
kickboxing, Hip
Hop, etc., however,
they both recently
received
certifications in
Zumba! They will be
a great addition
to our "Zumba
Family"! Chantell
and Lindsay will
be hosting Zumba
Fitness for Team Fit
at the STAC
location. Come check
them out!!!
Speaking of
STAC, from Oct 4th
to Oct 9th classes
at Shelby Township
Athletic Club (STAC)
will be FREE. So
tell your friends,
family, neighbors
and anyone that want
to see what this
popular class format
was all about. As
always, no binding
gym membership
required. The
6-week session will
begin the following
week. Classes are
just $36 for one
session and $22 for
each additional
session. Come visit
Jennifer,
Lindsay, Christie and
Chantell at
this great
location. You can
check out the
schedule HERE
and by clicking on
the appropriate
link.
Secondly,
on Oct 11th we will
be starting our
Monday 7pm class at
Ashley Elementary in
New Baltimore. If
you are unfamiliar
with this district
you can CLICK
HERE to view
map and HERE
to view schedule.
We are taking
registrations now so
don't miss out! You
can either register
on-line or via first
class mail.
Pre-registration is
always encouraged to
make sure programs
runs successfully.
Thirdly,
you should
have received a
flier this past week
in regards to the
new Zumba changes as
well as all the
other classes being
offered at drop-in
rates. If you can
not commit to a
6-week session,
these are all great
classes to drop in
to. Zumba
programs are also
offered as make-up
classes as long as
it is not sold out.
To make up a class
with Zumba,
please contact
Jennifer to
arrange. Remember
this is the time
of year that we
get busy and
start eating a
lot of junk. Make
sure you stay on
top of your
workouts so you
don't gain those
holiday 10lbs :-)
Finally,
please make sure you
bring in
your clean workout
shoes to class and
not wear them to
class. The nice
weather conditions
are just as bad on
the floor as
the sloppy winter
ones. This
will limit the mess
as well as prevent
any accidents that
may occur with
floors being wet or
soiled. This
procedure is for
your safety as well
as those around you.
If you are already
on Facebook, please
be sure to add Team
Fit to your
favorites. We keep
you updated with the
latest news
(and surprise specials like
our $5 drop in
days).
If you have
any questions,
concerns or comments
in regards to Zumba
Fitness, please feel
free to contact
Jennifer anytime at
734-748-8533 or at www.teamfitzumba@yahoo.com

Remember,
we all stumble,
every one of us.
That's why it's a
comfort to go hand
in hand.

Exercise
of the Month
Exercises
that Help
Decrease Knee
Pain
Need
Pain-Free Knees?
Start Here!
Knees are the
most commonly injured
joints in the body.
Considering that when
you simply walk up
stairs, the pressure
across your knee joints
is four times your body
weight, it isn't
surprising. Simple,
everyday wear and tear
can end up hurting your
mobility.
But it's not too late.
Like a rusty door hinge,
with care and
maintenance, you knees
can be trouble free.
Even if you already
experience problems,
exercising the muscles
surrounding the knee
joints- quadriceps
(front of thigh),
hamstrings (back of
thigh), abductor
(outside thigh), and
adductor (inside
thigh)-will help make
your knees stronger and
less susceptible to
injury. Exercise keeps
your joints from
stiffening and provides
needed support, making
movement easier and
reducing pain.
To see our
recommendations for some
exercises you can do to
both stretch and
strengthen the knee area
