Winter months are quickly approaching so please make sure to check on the status of class prior to leaving (rule of thumb, if the surrounding school district is closed, all morning classes are canceled - evening classes vary depending on location).

Happy Holidays!
Season's Greetings! The holidays are officially upon us and I am going to challenge you to make this your "best" holiday season ever. In this time of gratitude and blessings, I am grateful for Team Fit and all the wonderful people associated with it. Thank you for being part of our family!
As many of you know, my mom passed away this past week. She had been battling brain cancer for almost a year. Thank you very much for all of the cards, flowers, and support that many have you extended during this difficult time. I am so relieved and honored that I have such an awesome staff of trainers that not only picked up the extra work for me this past week, but their generosity and willingness in doing so. I am so blessed!
I was coaching a session two weeks ago and kept motivating my client by saying, "Why wait?" By this, I meant why wait until January to make progress on your health, fitness, & conditioning or anything else in your life that you may be procrastinating on. Now is the time to pick up the pace and finish the year strong. Successful people like to take ACTION and get things done. So think about what you need to do TODAY to make progress in your life and get it done NOW!
My featured Article in this TF Times is "Are You Busy?". It discusses ways to handle all of the many different hats we wear in life and ways on how to successfully do it all.
As we prepare for a typically hectic, busy holiday season, I wish you and yours a season that balances harmony, relaxation, play, and joy. Stay focused on what is important. Stay relaxed. And keep creating IMPACT!

Featured Article Are you Busy?
It seems like everyone near me is talking about being busy...Too busy. As a busy professional myself, I know what it's like to juggle many things on your plate. But then again, everyone I know is busy. So, whether it's your job, shuffling the kids to school or sports, or just trying to balance the daily demands of life, the million-dollar question is, are you busy doing the right things?
Just the other day, I heard someone comment on how we are surrounded by clocks. Think about it: We hang clocks everywhere and often wear one on our wrists. We are slaves to time. So it doesn't matter whether you know the time by your phone, PDA, cable box, microwave, heart rate monitor, watch or the movement of the sun, life isn't slowing down anytime soon. Those of us who are busy are going to stay busy. Here are a few suggestions to help make sure you're busy doing the right things:
· Game plan. Call this "Blue-sky" strategic planning time. Make sure you know where you're going. Otherwise, you will just be stuck in "busyness." Know where you want to be one year from now. Know where you want to be 90 days from now. Know where you want to be 30 days from now. Your daily decisions should all be influenced by the direction you have chosen for your future.
New Chesterfield Location New Team Fit Studio UpdatesAs I mentioned, Team Fit is proud to venture into our OWN studio this coming January. We are PUMPED and have some exciting new programs to launch next session. Combat Boxing with Tracie, Low-Impact WAKE-UP with Lindsay, Cheer Conditioning Clinics are all on the line up. The facility is coming together and contractors are busy 7 days a week in order to kick off ribbon cutting next month. It's going to be an exciting and motivating time! Full Winter schedules are available to view by CLICKING HERE. Paper brochures are also available so please ask us for one.
** Please be reminded that January is a very busy time for Team Fit. It is essential to pre-register for programs in order to secure your spot. We can not "save" a spot unless full registration and registration fees are received. Most programs do begin January 10, 2011 so don't delay or procrastinate in enrolling.
Zumba Highlights with Jen Before you go and get lazy this holiday season, think of all the progress you have made this year and keep it up! Register NOW for a 4-week mini session at Brickhouse Health and Fitness. The class will start Tuesday Dec 14th at 8pm with Jennifer as the instructor for only $24!!!
STAC classes began this week and we still have space available if you are interested. Brickhouse Health and Fitness and STAC are the only Team Fit ZUMBA fitness classes running for the month of December. Get signed up so you don't fall off your program! Class schedule is available on the Team Fit website.
CHRISTMAS EVE CLASS- Jennifer will be hosting a Zumba Fitness class at 1030am on Christmas Eve. Come out and get your workout on for only $5 (then you can splurge on that piece of pie). Child Care will be available for $5 for 1-2 kids or 6.50 for 3-4 kids. Come out and get the booty shakin' started.

Cooking with the Pros Sweet Potato Muffins
- 2 cups mashed baked sweet potato, about 1 large
- ½ unsweetened applesauce
- 4 tbsp olive oil
- 4 egg whites
- 10 oz apple butter or pumpkin butter
- 1 ½ cups brown rice flour
- 1 ½ cups oat bran
- 1 ½ teasp baking soda
- 1 ½ teasp baking powder
- 1 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Mix dry ingredients, then add one at a time wet ingredients until combined. Add nuts if desired.
Bake in preheated 350 oven for approximately 20 minutes
Options: instead of sweet potato, 3 mashed bananas and 1 cup frozen berries (blueberry, blackberry or raspberry).
For Apple muffins, use 1 cup applesauce and 1 cup chopped apples, can add raisins or carrots also.
